The global Transport Knowledge Partnership is an initiative to promote and disseminate knowledge on sustainable transport and to facilitate strong participation from developing and transition countries. It covers seven themes in transport:

  4. Road Safety
  5. Rural Transport
  6. Social Development
  7. Urban Transport

It also covers 'cross-cutting issues' that are relevant in all theme areas.

Messages on the discussion forum can be read by anybody who visits the site. Only registered users of gTKP can post messages and to do so it's necessary to be "logged on". If you're having trouble logging on to the website you can email for help at info@gtkp.com

Q. Why should I register with gTKP?

Anyone is welcome to join gTKP and all our services are free. Members will receive our monthly newsletter (English and Spanish), have access to all our sector experts and our full collection of knowledge.

In addition, by registering with gTKP you will be able to take part in the discussion groups and you will have access to improved search capabilities on the website, allowing you to find the information you're looking for more easily.

Members can submit details of news and events to be published on the website and also submit knowledge for review and publication.

Q. When does the gTKP newsletter come out?

The newsletter is distributed monthly towards the end of the month. If you sign up mid-month, you will receive the next new newsletter as soon as it goes out. If you sign up to gTKP and do not receive a newsletter by the end of the month, please let us know by emailing us on: info@gtkp.com . It will mean there is a problem with your email address or registration. You may also want to check you junk mail folder in case it has gone in there.

Using Internet Explorer the font size can be changed by clicking on View/Text Size and then choosing what size is required.

Q. When submitting a news item it's possible to attach a document but is it possible to attach a link to a URL?

If you want to submit a news item linked to a URL just type the address of the link at the bottom of the news item. The link will be activated when the news item goes live on the website.
